Refunds, deposits, and missed sittings

How a refund is requested

Write to hello@notion-vertexfield.click or use the contact form, and include the name on the booking, the sitting, and the date. The desk acknowledges refund requests on weekday afternoons, within two working days. Calling 023851132 is appropriate when the sitting is within forty-eight hours.

Deposits

A confirmed Desk Cycle seat and a confirmed Saturday place are held with a deposit of 30 percent of the published fee. The remainder is due before the first session, as stated on the rates page. Consultation fees are paid in full when the hour is confirmed, because the sitting is a single block and the sheets are printed for that morning.

Full refund

You receive a full refund of sums paid if you cancel a Desk Cycle or a Saturday workshop seven or more days before the first session, or if you cancel a consultation before noon on the previous day. You also receive a full refund if the academy cancels the sitting and you do not want the next comparable date.

Partial refund

If you cancel a Desk Cycle or a Saturday workshop after the seven-day mark and before forty-eight hours prior to the start, the deposit is retained and any remainder already paid is returned. The retained deposit covers the sheet pack that has been printed for your instrument and the desk that was held out of the public list.

On the Desk Cycle, if you have attended the first evening and write before the third evening to leave the cycle, the academy refunds half of the tuition paid, less the deposit already applied to the printed packs. After the third evening the remaining tuition is not refunded, because the sheet sequence and the seat have been used for half the cycle. A student who leaves for illness may ask for the unused evenings to be moved to the next public cycle instead of a cash refund; the desk confirms that move in writing if a desk is free.

Non-refundable items

Sheet packs already handed to you are not refunded as a separate item. A boxed lunch ordered for a Saturday you miss inside forty-eight hours is not refunded. A consultation that has begun is not refunded, including a sitting ended early at your request after the weekly sheet has been reviewed.

No-shows

A Desk Cycle or Saturday place that is unused without a message inside forty-eight hours of the start is treated as a late cancellation: the deposit is retained, and any remainder paid for that sitting is retained because the desk cannot be offered to someone else in time. A missed consultation is not refunded and is not automatically moved. One consultation may be moved if you write before noon the previous day.

Rescheduling

A Desk Cycle student may move once to the next public cycle if the request arrives before the second evening and a seat remains. A Saturday place may move once to a later published Saturday if the request arrives seven or more days before the original date. Further moves are treated as a cancellation under the windows above.

Work already started and closed groups

For a quoted private group, any evening already taught is not refunded. Evenings not yet taught follow the same seven-day and forty-eight-hour windows, counted from the next scheduled evening. Materials printed for names already submitted are treated like issued sheet packs.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are sent to the same bank account that paid the academy, within fourteen working days after the desk confirms the amount in writing. The academy does not refund in cash at the door. If the original account cannot receive the transfer, write with the new account details in the same email thread as the booking.

Removal from the room

If a person is asked to leave for disrupting the sitting, fees for evenings not yet held are returned. The evening in progress and any sheet pack already issued are not refunded.
