What the first Tuesday evening is actually like
The first Tuesday is quiet on purpose. Three sheets are on the desk and only one of them is worked.
Before 18:30
The room opens at 18:15. Eight desks, each with a weekly, a daily, and a four-hour print turned face down, a pencil, and tea water on the sideboard. The instrument was named the previous Friday so the pack could be printed. If the name arrives late, the desk will say whether the seat can still be prepared.
Most students come from shifts nearby and do not have time to eat properly. There is tea, not a meal, on Tuesday. The Saturday workshop is the sitting that includes lunch.
The hour that feels slow
Arisa asks each person to turn up only the weekly sheet and to find the last two swings. People who wanted the four-hour chart immediately often go quiet here. That reaction is common enough that we mention it before anyone enrols. The lower sheets are a reward for a clear weekly, not an opening act.
You will be asked to speak the swings in a full sentence. Neighbours can hear you. The room is small, and that is the point: no sheet is marked in private while the instructor looks elsewhere.
What to carry
A pencil and an eraser are enough. Wear layers; the room is air-conditioned and the velvet keeps it still rather than warm. Leave the laptop in the bag. The prints are the lesson.
If you already keep a notebook of levels, bring it. It will not be the working sheet, but it helps the instructor see which habits you arrived with. Week one does not grade that notebook. It only asks you to park it until the weekly is done.
